SEEK LIFE.

I have had quite an eventful week. This is the week that I realized Rongai has so many alternative routes and I think I have used all of them. I was quite shocked that I could get to Rongai via kikuyu…waaaat! This is also the week I talked to so many strangers; I like to call them ‘Jam buddies.’ I figured that if there was no traffic then I would probably never even say hello, and we mostly talked or rather complained about the traffic anyway. The highlight of the week was Tuesday night when I spent the night in traffic…yea; I left the office at 6:30pm got home at 4:30am, showered and left for work at 5:30, only to be stuck again for three hours…men! All this because of poor drainage, in Nairobi, the capital! Si kawaida!
Jesus help us find you.

It’s not usual because when did you ever hear that a capital city, the heart of a country has problems with drainage, how? It’s only in Kenya. This got me thinking, (I had all the time, I  was stuck anyway) we are barely past Garissa mascara, then we here Narok water deaths, then a wall falls and kills over ten people in south B estate, then cattle rustlers in Turkana, then…oh boy! So many negative news filling the airwaves, and let’s not forget the gay bill…bummer! I mean what is going on!

The only explanation I get is this, God, calling for our attention, he wants us back! Calling us to turn back to our first love. See, this is the thing with reading the word, you find yourself looking at everything the God way, and you can’t help but spiritualize everything. I mean I could go ahead and blame, governor Kidero and president Uhuru, corruption or even the bus driver like everyone else does (I wish I could) but I  just can’t! Truth is everything that happens physically is just a manifestation of what was already experienced spiritually.

This occurrences ought to stir up every intercessor, every Christian to rise up from our slumber and pray! I didn't want to speak (or write) about this but throughout the whole week; this is what is constantly being spoken in my spirit. On your knees Kenya!  I don’t want to speak about end time, enough people have talked about it already, but this is the time all watchmen, Ezekiel 33.7, ought to wake up, wake up and sound the warning, wake up and repent for the nation, wake up and speak God more.

It’s not time to complain, the economy will always have issues, corruption will probably never end, political leaders will always disappoint, more and more money minded ‘pastors’ will rise up, the news will most definitely continue being negative…the only thing left for us to do is pray and ask God, that in the midst of all these chaos, we will find the most important thing…life.

We were once all dead in sin, but Jesus redeemed us; he died to give us life. This life is what we ought to ask for. Life free of sin, full of peace, full of mercy and grace, a life of love. See in Jesus, everything will make sense, even being stuck in traffic for ten hours!
