Do not kill my dream of a perfect family.

It’s okay if we quarrel, but have an emotionally sweet reconciliation

Problems are inevitable, but if we carry them together

Then they become bonding circumstances

Deny me every riches, all comfort, but maintain love

Like Josephs brothers, do not scoff at my dreams

But help me fuel them up with passion and determination

                           My idea of a perfect family

                           Impossible as it may seem

                           I still want to keep up with this dream of a perfect family.

There is no such thing as a perfect family, so you say

But when we cry together, laugh together

Share meals and hugs, and have different opinions, that’s perfect to me

Have you not heard it’s the little things that matter in life?

That simple good night, that hidden smile,

That so cleverly hidden secret that protects me from harm

That’s perfect for me

That annoying character that makes us different

                         Small as they are, I still want

                         To consider them as part of my dream of a perfect family
