START SOMEWHERE
If we got start sometime why not now, if we got to start somewhere why not here,
If we got start sometime I say now, if we got to start somewhere i say here.... Toby Mac.
you will never know if you are able to do something unless you start doing it, the problem with us is that we think too much and act so rarely.
I believe every single person out there can be creative if they just put their heads to it. Sitting on your talents does not make you a cool person in fact it is wickedness! yes it is wicked not to use your gifts, and of course am talking about good building gifts only. Although I must also remember that my idea of good may not necessarily be universal, but if i could use the words of Apostle Paul ...
"Everything is permissible"--but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible"--but not everything is constructive. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. (1 Corinthians 10:23-24 NIV)... need i add anything else...?
Your God given abilities are not only for your good, but to build others too, so if you don't use them doesn't that make you wicked? One thing that makes God smile is when we use our abilities, that's for sure. And i insist, do not let any limitations bring you down, when faced with a mountain, remember this old adage (i do not even know who said it but anyway...) if you cant go through it, then go over it. And when you have God on your side then its even lighter and achievable for nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37 ). Noticed i said 'lighter' and not 'easier' thats because nobody ever said you wont have challenges, nobody ever said it would be easier, but as long as you have God... you will make it.
Finally, brothers, whatever gift is true, whatever talent is noble, whatever creativity is right, whatever innovation is pure, whatever deed is lovely, whatever action is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-- think of it as a platform to praise God. (Philippians 4:8) Shalom.
