ISOLATION!

My word for January 2022 was INTIMACY, pursuing intimacy with GOD and myself. Intimacy and ISOLATION go hand in hand, for you to grow intimately you need to be isolated from circumstances that will hinder interaction with whatever you are trying to grow intimate with... in my case, GOD and myself.

When it comes to my job, I don't have to worry about how to isolate myself because Video editing is quite a lonely job anyway. You spend hours on end shut up with your computer with little or no interaction with humans.

spiritually, developing a habit of getting up early to dig deep into the word, pray, meditate, journal...early enough before we are distracted by the mundane.

in honor of this great word that I have learned so much about over the month... I did a collection of pictures themed "Isolation".

Here is my ISOLATION picture collection:

1. Took this picture on the 3rd of January, people were back to work and all the voices and merry that filled the house in the Christmas and New Year festive were gone... it was all dead quiet! Then I started thinking about words that I would love to be identified with...and in that seclusion, I wrote down words that become my entire vision board.

2. Isolation sounds like a sad depressed word until you realize a lot of brilliant ideas are birthed in isolation. Across my room, there is a school, and looking at those kids playing during recess reminded me of a time when I was unapologetically myself. I wanted to revive the kid in me...lets face it, she was happier because she cared so little about what people thought about her.

3. I  love writing, but over the years I have allowed circumstances to weigh down my writing talent... Self- Isolation lets you Connect with a side of you that might otherwise be lost in the quest of trying to balance life. When I bought this diary, I felt a new determination to start writing again!

 4. The sunset over here is such a beautiful sight when I first came to Mombasa... I thought the sun is harsher here than in Nairobi, but each evening sitting at this very corner watching the sunset and sipping tea...I could believe how beautiful the sight was!

5. Every day there is a reason to be thankful. Life may not look so beautiful unless you focus on the unique aspects of your life, and until the rest of the excess is blurred out, seeing the beauty that is right in front of us may be impossible!

6. The sunset again...oh and the flower too. Take time to relax, notice the flowers and smell them...life is too short for boring and dull!

7. Pray, without ceasing! In the midst of the chaos and the noise...the only sure voice is the voice of GOD, otherwise known as the voice of truth.

8. Saved the best for last! I call this picture, the mythical world. We all have a light in us, don't let your struggles deem that light!

                                                              Thank you for stopping by
                                                               Have a diligent February!
