October 20th 2018- Three Bummers!

I know, its a week later but the events that took place on Mashujaa day can not go undocumented. I was still looking for a killer conclusion- which I still don't have, but I cant postpone this post any longer.Quick disclaimer this post has got nothing to do with Mashujaa day.

So lets get on with it.

Nothing matches the excitement that every 8-5 person feels when the calendar reads public holiday. Picture a whole day away from work...Heaven! Only this time the holiday was on Saturday...bummer! None the less, it was a whole day and my to do list was packed , honestly I just made the list to feel organised but I had no intention of doing anything on it ha!

Most important thing on the list- house hunting, a really haunting experience I must say. The plan was to be out of the house before 10, so I woke up did some laundry (if washing two pairs of rubber shoes counts as laundry). Then I washed my hair which the previous night was marinated with avocado (don't ask questions) and I thought ah! I am actually going to make it in time but sponge-bob omnibus happened.

Before I knew it it was 12...lord! So I rush and by 12:30 I was out of the house, 10 minutes later I am alighting at city stadium so eager to get to Bahati to see the first house. Only to discover the  ROG mathree (I don't know the full name) don't stop at city stadium...second bummer! So mimi huyo in the scorching October sun I head to town, get to Gill house pick the sleekest ROG and sit comfortably.

At this time, my day is already disoriented and to keep myself from over thinking , I turn on my data and as expected social media is Mashujaa infested! I scroll through some people's engagement pictures and videos in one of the many Whats app groups I am part of and the next time I look up I see Kariobangi South something... third bummer! Google maps further confirms how far away I am from my destination.

Getting angry wouldn't help the situation so I sit patiently, get to the final stage and take another ROG back to Bahati... this time fortunately I don't miss my stop. I confidently dial the house agent number and guess what... his phone is switched off! I try a couple of times each time the annoying automated voice! Oh my word!

Shocking I don't get angry(yoo! someone's growing) You know what Troka, its a sign...hauna Bahati na Bahati. So I decide to go to a place where I never get it wrong...Rongai babe! The day ended with dinner with my girls and some really helpful girl talk.

See I don't have a Gandhi like conclusion to this but, in life, bad days happen, but a positive attitude makes them bearable!

                   Thanks for stopping by
                          Stay positive!
