YOU ARE SPECIAL

Ever felt like people don’t get you at all? It’s like everyone you try to get close to eventually gets fed up with you and they just walk away. In your list of many ‘friends’ you can’t get even one to confide in, alone and lonely that’s how your life is.

Your social life is almost dead save for facebook and twitter where you get at least a retweet and a comment that really doesn’t say much or a like  from someone you don’t even know.

Your ex left you because you were too rigid to change and your current boyfriend or girlfriend thinks you are too full of yourself. When you talk people question when you are quite people assume you are stressed and when you smile people look at you suspiciously. You are considered this weird person with a strange taste in music and dressing style.

To people you never do your make up right and if you are a dude no lady wants to be associated with you. So because of all this you start walking around with an attitude that is really the opposite of you or take up this personality that really is not you, and still with all this effort to make people love you, you bare no fruit.

Life becomes so unfair and your self esteem though you struggle so hard to pretend on the outside you are strong, it’s torn and done with! You start believing that maybe you deserve to be alone, to be this monster people make you feel you are.

You fear getting close to people because your heart can not take another heart break. Your only friend and companion is you... I could go on forever but, point is, you are never alone no matter how despised you feel. There is one person who will never get tired or even complain at your dramas.

He will hold on to you tight even when you try to push him away, he will take in all your tantrums and complain with a smile, he will not leave your side for even a second when everyone else goes away, he will never stop believing in you even if you stop thinking anything good could ever come out of you,

Your tears he will wipe and stand your weird tastes and keep you company. What I simply mean is that this friend, who will by the way never ask anything in return, will always be there. Speaking, or rather, writing from experience, at that time when I almost gave up on myself, this loving friend whispered a very short sentence that gave me a reason to smile, to hope and to dream again.

A reason to step out of my fears, out of my comfort zone and be exactly what I ought to always be... great!

“Never will I leave you nor forsake you,” the sentence that keeps me going every day. For when everyone else thinks otherwise, he knows and you should know to, that you are special.
